Real Estate Broker
Illinois Licensing Requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- High school graduate or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- Successfully complete the required coursework
- Pass the state licensing exam with an approved testing agency
- Join a sponsoring brokerage
EDUCATION COURSE INFORMATION: Must complete and pass the 75 hour Pre-License course at a real estate school approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.

Leasing Agent
Illinois Licensing Requirements:
- At least 18 years old
- High school graduate or equivalent (G.E.D.)
- Employed by a sponsoring brokerage or property management firm
- Successfully complete the required coursework
- Pass the state licensing exam with an approved testing agency
EDUCATION COURSE INFORMATION: Must complete and pass the 15 hour Leasing Agent Pre-License course at a real estate school approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. The Illinois Leasing Agent License is a limited scope license for persons who wish to engage only in the leasing of residential properties.
